Virginia Pumpkin Festival 2010
Dear Pumpkin Grower
We are trying to grow our festival to meet the needs of international growers and we propose that the following arrangements will apply to Large Pumpkins at 2010 Virginia Pumpkin Festival.
Pumpkins weighing over 500lb
1. The pumpkin will be transported to the Festival for free.
2. The owner of the Pumpkin will be given free return transport from Dublin airport to Virginia. and free accommodation for the duration of the Festival .
Pumpkins weighing over 1000lb.
1.The pumpkin will be transported to the Festival for free
2. The owner will receive a free return flight (from the airport nearest them serviced by Ryanair or Air Lingus ) to Dublin airport. They will be transported from Dublin airport to Virginia . Free accommodation will be provided for the duration of the Festival .

If you are intend coming to the festival we will require detailed information as follows.

Please contact your friends in the Giant Vegetable World to let them know about Virginia Pumpkin Festival. Any help you can give our young festival is very welcome. Any tips, workshops, or guidance which you can impart to our growers would be appreciated. All other giant vegetables are welcome. In the future we will have other competitions for same.
Looking forward to this great meeting of Giant Vegetable Growers at Virginia Pumpkin Festival.
We intend that all Pumpkins would reach Pergola Nurseries in Virginia by Friday the 22nd October.
We hope to have all Pumpkins in Pergola Nursery on 22nd October 2010.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR VIRGINIA PUMPKIN FESTIVAL COMPETITORS 2010
1. The pumpkin must be free of all wet rot and cracks which go through the outer skin.
2. All defects must be made known to the organisers before weigh-in.
3. Competitors and friends/families must be on site one hour before the weigh-in commences.
4. Virginia Pumpkin Festival Limited accept no responsibility for damage to the pumpkins while on site.
5. Virginia Pumpkin Festival Limited accept no responsibility for personal injury before, during, and after the competition.
6. Virginia Pumpkin Festival Limited accepts no liability for damage to equipment before, during, and after the weigh-in.
7. The decision of the directors of Virginia Pumpkin festival Limited shall be binding in all matters relating to the competition.
8. Judging will be by EGVGA standards
Failure to comply with these rules and regulations will deem the person ineligible to compete. In the event of there being a question about the proper weight of a pumpkin, e.g. the OTT measurement versus the ACTUAL measurement, a cut will be made into the pumpkin in question to determine its regularity.

Wenn ich 1000 lbs zusammenbekomme, dann ich.
Sind ja noch 4 Wochen Zeit.
Vielleicht tarne ich mich als Ire, dann dürfte es für den ersten Platz reichen.
Ich denke mal die Patons werden hinfahren(fliegen) und als Internationale gewinnen.
ne Long Gourd mit 2,2 m hätte ich auch noch aber Ryanair ist teuer bei Sperrgut, vielleicht könnte man die LG als Sportgepäck anmelden und bei die Golfschläger packen, als Putter oder so, die Spitze ist eh schon krumm.
Sind ja noch 4 Wochen Zeit.
